While it's certainly convenient blaming my typesetting duties on Crows as the primary reason for letting this website get a bit backlogged, I think maybe that's just an excuse for my laziness. It's true, while I enjoy doing it, working on these chapters does take up the brunt of my free time. Not to mention, I'm married with a 2 year old daughter, have family functions that require my presence, hold down a full time job, and every once in while enjoy spending time doing things not associated with Crows & Worst. The reality is, "free time" doesn't even begin to exist in my world. However, I have grown weary of the half-assery that is CXW in its current state.

As I've stated on numerous occasions, I never intended for so much planned content to be "Coming Soon" for so long. In the beginning, I basically rushed things out in order to have a foundation in which to build upon. It gave me the opportunity to let others know I was serious about making a full-fledged fan site rather than just talking about it in the forums. It was also the perfect platform to report any immediate CXW related news while the rest of the site was undergoing construction. My intentions were good, as intentions generally are, but when I look back at these curtailed pages, and assume others are as well, I can't help but feel embarrassed and hypocritical at the same time.

You may have noticed the lack of banners, pop-ups, and infuriating mouseover links embedded in text attempting to sell you something you most undoubtably don't need. There are no Google ads littered throughout forum threads, the inability to use an avatar because you haven't reached a "respectable" post count, or any other bullshit the majority of the interweb deems acceptable. I won't employ these things here, as CXW is modeled upon the ideals I look for when visiting a website. I don't want to see that crap and neither should you. However, nothing pisses me off more than clicking a link only to find myself staring at a page with zero content and a fancy banner promising it may be there at a later date. Usually when someone sees this, they don't return, they simply move on to someplace that has what they're looking for. I know I do, and yet I've done just that. I'd like to remedy the situation.

I've given myself a deadline of just over five months in which to complete the main site. Other than the Crows Manga Section, which won't be truly comprehensive until Crows is finished being translated, the rest of these pages will be completed by the start of the new year. I spent over 12 hours this weekend working on various sections. Some of these efforts you'll see today, the rest during the coming weeks. Some of these things are minor cosmetic changes while others are staples that should have been in place months ago. In the meantime, I will continue contributing to Crows manga releases as well as reporting any relevant CXW news.
