FEBRUARY 2009 NEWS

Even with the release of Crows Zero 2 still weeks away the merchandising machine is already in full swing. Dive posted images of a bunch of new movie tie-ins that I'm guessing are just the tip of the iceberg.

Harumichi Bouya once again reprises his role as off screen mascot to the series as an all new Flashback Generation and Crazy Heads. Hopefully plastic representations aren't the only form of Harumichi we see concerning the film. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say the most iconic character of the series deserves at very least a cameo.

There's also a bunch of updates at the Official Site including character pics, wallpapers, and what looks to be an upcoming manga adaptation of Crows Zero 2.

Delinquent updated their site yesterday with Chapters 75 and 76 of Worst. This double release brings us to the end of Volume 19.

JJCrows now have the five feedbacks required to implement the But It Now option on ebay and start taking individual orders! Anyone wanting a specific item can request it in the following thread or drop them an email.

The Armament just keeps on coming. It comes as no surprise having seen the silhouette image posted a few weeks back that the Crazy Heads line had more T.F.O.A planned for the future. Besides a regular edition, Shouta will also be offered in the usual variety of retailer exclusives including one for the recently opened Linda Garage.

Dive will begin taking preorders on 2-14-09.

There's a saying in the art world which states that one has overworked the piece. In other words, at one point during the creation process it was as close to perfection as it was ever going to be, but the artist just couldn't leave well enough alone. Well, I'm here to admit that I've passed that point days ago. I've re-written and re-worded, changed banners and graphics, name order and fonts so many times that I'm not even sure where my preferences lie at this point. I've come to the realization that, it is what it is. The Worst Manga Section, for lack of a better term, is done.

I want to give a huge thanks to everyone at Delinquent-Manga for helping me complete this. I'd still be writing character bios if it wasn't for LoktarOgar's assistance and let's face it, without their dedication to the CXW community, most of us would have been left hanging at the end of chapter 12 for the past three years. I also want to thank Seth from JJCrows for lending a hand and everyone else from the forums for your continued support.

After a short break, I will continue to update the site with more and more content. Next in line is a total revamp of the Toys Section. Seth has been compiling complete lists and gathering photos of all the toys I missed on the initial pass. It is our goal to ultimately provide the most comprehensive checklist of all Crows & Worst toys on the web!

Delinquent have updated their page with the newest chapter of Worst. The release of Chapter 74 brings us to the half way mark of Volume 19. Not much further until we're caught up to date with Japanese reading fans.

Dive announced the next Flashback Memories diorama is Bandou vs Hiromi. While many of us may not be versed enough in Crows lore to know the specifics of this showdown, you can still appreciate the usual craftsmanship from the guys at Dive. Click the thumbnail above to check it out.
