AUGUST 2009 NEWS

Regulus revealed their Amachi variant, today. It's a slight improvement over the others, but I'm still not feeling it. More importantly, they've also posted a teaser image of what's to come. Regulus will celebrate their 10th Anniversary by completing a series of T.F.O.A Heads dressed in traditional JKT bomber jackets. A series that began back in Dive's "The Next Generation" line with Takeda Kousei. Other than the obvious retooling required for the jackets themselves, both Ryuushin and Shougo look to be existing sculpts of past releases.

Dive would lead us to believe that the next Flashback Generation is Hisashi Amachi, but I'm not buying it. They got the hair color right and he's wearing the appropriate uniform, but that's about it. Maybe this is their first entry in a new Sunnydale based line-up? Crows X Buffy? Sure, why not? In any event, while my wallet is sure to be $40 happier, it's a shame that such a long-time fan favorite doesn't quite measure up to the usually quality sculpts we've seen from Dive during the past year or so.

Dive X Linda will officially begin soliciting preorders for the second series of Crazy Kids on 8/29. This set features members of Housen Killer Corps, including its Head, Bitou Tatsuya. This initial offering is labeled as the "General Distribution" version, but past photos reveal variant color schemes will also be available in the near future.

D-M just posted the last two chapters of Worst Volume 22. This release catches D-M (and us) completely up to date with Japan! Twenty-two volumes in just over two years is a pretty major accomplishment considering the other series' they're focused on as well as living their own lives. When Part III of Worst resumes this fall, D-M won't be more than a step away. Congrats, guys.

Glam and Lucky Rudy have released fresh images of the first variation of Bones V: "Blessing Scar". This Glam Department Store exclusive features Kousei wearing all black and is limited to 250 pieces.

The 5th Generation of Crazy Heads finally gets a Head of its own. Dive X Linda announced today that Takeda Kousei will be the next release in their Armament line-up. Expect Genba to debut in the next couple of weeks, then it's on to something new for the line.

I have a feeling that Crazy Heads may be taking a break from Crows and Worst for a while to focus on one of Hiroshi's other works, QP. We'll find out soon enough.

Worst volume downloads 5-10 have been repaired. Huge thanks to Cloudbits for putting us back in business.

A few of our readers have alerted me to an issue concerning Worst Volumes 5-10. Apparently the primary download functions as it should, but reports an error upon attempting to extract the files within. I was able to duplicate this scenario and am currently in the process of sorting it out. In the meantime, I've broken the DDL links to these volumes to prevent further downloads until new versions have been found.

Thanks to all that emailed me in regards to this issue, and my apologies to everyone who have already downloaded.
